Just arrived. Now what?

Have been smitten with this car when they first came out years ago. I was in the M6 camp at the time, but drove several and fell in love after a particularly exciting track session.

This bone stock super low mileage example just showed up. It is as new, but I intend to enjoy it.

I’ve read the last six years of threads. I need your help. In September 2020, what would you do? I don’t want to mod it too much, but I want to get the best out of it. Can you let me know what you would add?

renntech throttle blip and bodies?
10/12mm spacers?
???

Congratulations on your new car. I like you wanted one of these since they were new. I finally bought one last June. Since my purchase I have added ROW air boxes and dry filters along with different air ducts. Also added 10mm spacers on the front and 12mm spacers on the rear.

I followed your search and subsequent purchase Gene! Well bought. We have similar cars and are in the same valuation atmosphere.

I’ll add the ROW boxes to the list.

I’m pretty sure I’ll add the RENNtech blip solution.

But that might be it!

I was sort of hoping this thread would be a current list of “best practices”.

Congrats on the beautiful car! I wouldn't own one of these cars without the TCU / Throttle Blip mod. Given Renntech seems to be the only one currently selling it then I guess that is the route to go.

The reason Renntech is the only one doing it is because there were some failures with just a TCU mod. They change some other things which is why it costs around $2500. First thing I would do would be air filters and get rid of the carbon filters. I’m really happy with the exhaust I just did because there’s lots of crackles when I decelerate, as well as more power of course. Since I’ve done the exhaust I haven’t felt the need to do anything else.

This is what I did.

Spacers 10/12
ROW air box with high performance filters
Weistec tune
Custom H pipe with secondary cat delete

Very pleased. Sound is perfect, vehicle appears stock and car at lower speeds drives similar to pre modifications.

Wanted the car to look completely stock an

Aston Martin made some of the most beautiful cars ever made. Not so much with the new designs.

Oh man that's a beauty! I'm very disappointed in myself for not knowing that is an Aston Martin though. Thanx for sharing the pic

The RennTech throttle blip solution is a must have. My previous CLK Black Series had almost everything available....except that. Once I drove one that had it, I was smitten. A total must have.
