Pillar posts fading... Any suggestions on a fix?

Has anyone run into a issue with their pillar posts, fading?

The shop that fixed my back bumper from a rear end detailed my car and when I got it home, I noticed that my pillar posts are fading.

Pictures below, curious if anyone fixed this before or if I'll have to order new pillar posts.

Yeah I have a those covers, not a big fan, I'm sending them back. They add too much bulk for my taste. I was hoping something along the line of piano gloss black spray paint... Looks like vinly might be the next best thing but if it's above $150 might as well bite the bullet and get new ones.

I put the covers on for now and they are actually look pretty good especially because mine are really faded. But the way the cls pillars are its kinda tucked under the door unlike my Escalade I tried to do looks ridiculous because it just sticks on the outside. I’m not sure if explaining right but I’ll show you pictures

After, now I do get that it is a little bulky but a great quick fix but it kinda goes behind where the two doors meet and kinda keeps it tucked. I’m going to look at vinyl though now that you mentioned it. Let’s us know if you go that route

Hey, I just decided to fix it and ordered brand new pillars. About $270 for both. Figured it would cost me 100$ to probably wrap it. Might as well use oem parts.

I bought the 3M vinyl wrap for mine. Though it doesn't give a mirror shine like black paint or OEM panel, it did the job. I will post pics later. It was pretty cheap tho. With the shipping, it cost me $26. And they have this promo if you install the product and give them review with pictures, they'll refund you $20. If your order was under $20, a rep said they will refund you the entire amount.

Here is the link if you or anyone else want to inquire...

If you have Carbon Fibre accents on the exterior, like side mirrors/trunk spoiler, you can also get CF trim and match it with that. Just saying

I saw that I think as well too but personal experience sometimes covers things instructions can’t.
But yeah I’ll look for that, thanks

I did it myself, really simple, they slide out after you remove the screws.
