Problem with tires...

I have bubbles on 3 of my tires, I called MB and they said it was due to potholes and this is not cover under my warranty. I took delivery of my CLS 500 2 weeks ago - should this problem happen so soon and is it really caused by potholes?

BTW, the tires are Continental 245/40 18!

I drive mine in and out of the city 5 days/wk, so in spite of what Mayor Bloomberg would lead you to believe, potholes are standard fare...I have no "bubbles" and while MB has warned me, as does their owners manual, have had no problems related to potholes and tires.

you guys are crazy

well my car broker is going to speak to the managaer at the dealership today...

granted the pothole story, but i think it is relatively too soon to have 3 huge bubbles in 3 of my tires so hopefully MB can do right by me

also, do you think it is safe to drive in this condition?

Well MB was not trying to do **** for me...well they said $150 off a set of 4 tires and no labor charge. I had my car broker make a few calls and it just so happen that he knew the distributor for Conti and after he talked to a few top ppl over there, they are giving me a set of 4 for - FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to change them to Pirellis or Michelins for the winter though - just taking advantage of the freebies since i didn't get anything from MB, except for a key ring!

lucky guy! i hit a pothole going about 25 mph in the city and i heard a big bang luckily just a bend in the rim it should be safe to drive on since the tire did not leak any air
