24months vs 27 months lease on CLS

i am planning on leasing a cls in los angeles.i am confused between 24/24k miles and 27/30k miles.in 27 months i will have to pay regestration again for 3rd yr,and i might have to do one more scheduled maintenence.and as far as tires i dont wana replace them at the lease end.so can someone help me to decide whats better.and what are the cons of 27 month lease over 24?

I have a 2 year old CLS and tires are just fine it. It's a short term lease so you only need to do regular maintenance which is once a year. Also MB will buy your CLS back 6 months b4 the lease is over providing you buy another MB. Or you can surrender yourcar 2 months before the lease is up and you wont even have to pay the last 2 months. So either way it should be fine short term is the key to leasing. 4 yrs at the most is what you would want on a lease.

I believe the 27 and 39 month terms were begun years ago because for some reason the rates work out better. I'm not sure if this is accurate, but it is what I was told a long time ago.

Have you discussed numbers with the dealers yet? I'd be curious as I'm getting my CLS soon.

I got a few quotes for Cls.and yes the 27 month rates were better than 24 month.$50/month less for 27 month. the reason is that 27 months lease residuals are same as the ones for 24 month which brings the payment down.and even though u have to pay regestration for the 3rd year in 27 month lease, its still worth it.

i am getting quotes like 850 including tax for 24 month and 810 for 27 month. with only 1st pmnt and dmv fee due at signing.but they are for 2008s with premium2 and amg sport, parktronic. 2009s are a bit higher at the moment.but i am waiting till i get these payments for 09s.

I just found out about a 2009 CLS program for $999 a month for 39 months with a few grand cap cost reduction. Might be worth looking into if you are more interested in the 2009.

Leased an '08 CLS550 with Prem 2, parktronic, iPod (but non-AMG) for $880/mo for 27 mo. with 15k miles/yr, 1st month due at signing only for the wife. This is in Texas, so that payment would be $830 or so elsewhere as we get double-tapped on taxes.
