PPF recommendations in Toronto

I’ve been to Wes in the Laird area and he did a *****ty job. I’ve also been to the guy near the airport. He’s OK but full of himself and not nearly as great as he thinks he is.

Do yourself a favour & spend the extra money to get a quality job done. Lots of inexperienced guys using cheap film + poor workmanship. Pay the price once & get it over with.

I’ve been to 4-5 shops in the GTA. All were terrible or far from great. I won’t name names…
It’s not about cheap films or low prices - all the places I went seemed top notch and charged non-discount prices and all used XPEL.
The issues are centered around who actually does the work. When you visit the shops you’ll talk to the owner, who’ll point out the flaws in your existing PPF or paint. You’ll see impressive work on supercars… and think “great”!
Not necessarily - the work needs to be done by the right guy, and unfortunately these shops are a revolving door of talent.
Another issue can be communication: one shop simply didn’t communicate with its team. So you’d tell the manager to ensure the badges on the car were put back correctly (ie, not straight) and he wouldn’t actually tell the person doing the work.
