Just an update if anyone cares on how things are progressing on one of the cars from that first batch of 25 or so allocations.

Car just locked yesterday, 11/23/2020 Status B30.
Decade Planned: 21/01-2
Decade Scheduled: 21/01-3
Prod. Date: 02/11/2021

My guess is that production will be done sometime end of Feb, with delivery to Brunswick end of March early April, and then emissions pending.

It gives an indication on when they'll start landing and subsequent allocations will follow.

The picture doesn't show up for you?
It does for me, hmm.

It's Graphite grey magno with pretty much all the options ticked.

It’s showing up now. We have very few options here in Canada. Paint (we aren’t offered graphite grey magno - strange!), interior (grey or orange accents), burmeister 3D sound system, carbon cross bar and car cover. That’s it.

I went with high tech silver/orange interior accents and passed on the sound system. Otherwise it’s ‘loaded’ 🙄

I am in too

I received a screen shot of my order placed in the system. I was told I have a production date of 03/11/2021. I imagine I will see it early April. Still no pricing for MSRP. The dealership has assured me that I will only pay MSRP without any additional fees.

I have several cars which compare to the BS including a GT2RS and a 600LT. I think the LT will go. I will never sell the GT2RS.

I have not officially spec'd the car yet. It is in line as a place holder for now. I expect to spec it this week.
Does anyone know if the track package will be available in US?

I traded my 600LT Spider for a GT R PRO. Loved my LT and was actually questioning if I made the right decision. After owning three McLarens the PRO was such a different driving experience and actually took me a few weeks of ownership to get acclimated. All in now and love it!!! Good luck with your BS.

$50,000 mark up

So, I'm really interested in the black series. My dealer has one allocation left but it comes with a hefty $50,000 price. What's the chance of finding a dealer with no mark up? I'm located outside Philadelphia if anyone can help me find an allocation without mark up. Thanks

Let me preface by saying that I am not a believer in dealer markups and wouldn't agree to one no matter how much I want a car.
Let me also say that by all accounts more allocations are coming and MB will make as many of these cars as they can in their one year of production, so not limited, but not that many either considering when production is beginning.

Those noted and fwiw, I know of at least two cars that have sold for $100k over msrp through brokers, so if one is in a 'must have now' mode and has the means that's where the market is these days, so in that context $50k over isn't that bad. And keep in mind that was before msrp was published and the car was favorably priced vs its competitors, meaning that there might now be more room for a markup whilst keeping the price on par with others.

With all these types of cars, if one doesn't have a front end allocation it always comes down to how much is immediate gratification worth to them.

I thought so. Congratulations!!

I have been approached but I still can’t see it for my needs. I want to drive it around almost daily like the GTR and that would be criminal.

I’ll just have to live vicariously through your exploits.

So you think you’ll have it in March...maybe?

Best wishes

Jerry.

March/April, depending on how EPA clearance goes.

For now my plan is to use it mostly on track as I have more appropriate cars for the street. If I fall in love with it and decide to use it on the street I was thinking that it might be a feasible idea to swap the rear decklid for the GTR one, my understanding is that it is one of the few parts in the car that is interchangeable. Sort of the same thing as when peeps do a rear wing delete on a 3/2RS. But that's a a bridge that's a while of way from being crossed.

The rear hatch has support columns in the trunk because of the downforce created. Do you know if replacing the GTR lid will be a direct swap?

If someone wants take my allocation for $100K over MSRP send me a pm, lol.

I’m sure you are just going “fishing” with the $100k over offer. Surely you still want this car for your stable.

Happy Holidays.

Jerry,

I am very impressed with what I have read. I have a confirmed order and production schedule, but I am still not sold on the looks. But, I love AMG products.

Additionally, I will be getting the new Lamborghini STO in the May/June timeframe as well as an incoming 765 LT.

If someone was to offer me $100K over I would happily sell it to them.

I spoke with my dealer yesterday and asked what he is hearing and he said his rep said that the North East region is pretty much the same as before when they had requested demand builds.

I will see.
