Getting a GTR Black Series...
“The plant has informed us that they are experiencing supply shortages and the vehicles have been delayed. We’ve been told “vehicles may not be shipped until Q2”. I will keep you informed as I receive more information.”
My build date is still showing 2/11 but it’s bound to be changed. Crossing fingers for early Q2 as opposed to June.
I have been waiting ever since calling every week to see if the issue is resolved
he's not high enough on the pecking order to get a track day with half decent weather

Thinking about bookending the newest with the oldest.

I know there's another subforum on these but anyone wanna talk me out of it while we wait for our cars?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

In fact as of the end of last year I had purged almost all my cars and all I had had left is the 15 458 Spider that I will probably be buried in, and a 50k mile 19 Jeep GC that I use to potter around town and around this fine country. I was actually really content for a while with a daily beater and the 458, but can't leave well enough alone.
Since then I bought the TRX for the goober flex, now the CLK BS for the drift flex, have a Durango hellcat coming in a couple of weeks for reasons I myself don't fully understand, then the GT BS for the ricer flex (can we still say that? please don't cancel me
), and then the 73 3.8 G50 RSR backdate should be done anywhere between two months to ten years from now.Like I said a weird lot for a weird soulsea.

Do you guys think that MB is going to be just as uncooperative in ordering and shipping the track package parts to the US as Porsche is with their clubsport package parts?
Also do you guys think swapping to the buckets will require just a computer flash or is it going to be more involved than that with different harnesses and the like?
I know we will be able to get parts from places like Opus but I'm curious about the oem stuff.

AMG/Mercedes will not budge on the shipping through their distribution system. Which mean they won't do it. In 2008 I had a CLK63 BS and had an inside connection for seats, roll bar and rev matching. Mercedes started an inquisition just on wanting information about the parts! Poor guy (very high up in AMG) was reprimanded. Eventually we found a middle east source.
The seat will be problem with the air bags and seat belts and who know how many sensor interfaces now. Good luck.

Talked to dealer yesterday and he was quite pessimistic about delivery time, gov. approvals, red tape, etc , may delay it until late Summer most likely.
Btw there is a MB BT module that can be fitted in the trunk by your dealership should you want to use hands free dialing, etc. Not the cheapest thing to do to the car but it does integrate nicely. I think I paid around $1200 total, parts and labour.
