Thoughts on this used 2016 GTS (Coming from a 991.1 C2S)
Hey everyone, I am seeing this car tomorrow and would love any insight on the specs on this car and if this is a good deal for 78k. I know people on here have swayed away from 2016s for potential issues since its a first year model but this model seems pretty clean. I am coming from Porsche world and am not familiar with the nuances of GTS options / features and what are the must have options. Thanks in advance!

2016s don't really have any significant extra issues; the only one is the driveshaft TSB/recall, but that would be covered by MB.
I've had mine for a year now and many miles with no substantive issues. Mine is similarly optioned to the one linked but in designo white metallic; I looked long and hard for the right optioned car with the saddle tan interior as it really stands out.
I would be more concerned about the flood of sketchy condition lease returns that clearly were not treated all that well under lease. There are plenty of very good ones, but also plenty of really bad shape cars out there.

Price is GREAT.
2016’s have NOTHING you need to worry about. Some have a driveshaft recall which is a free fix, that’s it.
Mileage is good for a ‘16, only 4K a year.
If you can live with a brown interior...Scoop it up!

You are going to find the gts has much power compared to Porsches. But the handling is no where near as good as the 911. You will feel much understeer and a lite front end feel. My 991 911 gt3 handles so much better even though both cars have new Michelin sport cup 2 tires with forgeline rims.if only I could put the Mercedes 8cyl twin turbo in the Porsche.

I've yet to take mine to the track (owned it 4 days) but hoping your statement is inaccurate. Wonder if there's some issue with the setup of your particular car?

Hello all , no my car is set up perfectly, I just run a lower front tire pressure 30 at the most. After the free amg academy i noticed it. The gtr was fantastic to drive at lime rock park
Don't get me wrong gts handles great just not as well as a 911 or as my old corvette c7 z06 with z07 package.

When I first drove my GTR on track with the OEM tyres I felt like it didn’t quite have the front end grip as my recently departed C7 Z06/7, but that was remedied when I placed my left over Z06/7 MPSC2 ZP tyres on the car which is the ROW option tyre for the GTR. Made a big difference.

Oh yeah , the tires are the important part of car. I always use Michelin sc2 on all my cars, best tires, wear fast but best grip.
in the cold winter months up here in buffalo NY the car goes up on blocks and the tires inside to keep from below zero temps.

Uh the e63s wagon handles as good as a 991 Turbo S which handles better than a GT3 and the GTS on KW springs handles better than both but ya gotta drive them hard to know..
PS: Is that GTS setup for off roading ? Maybe that's your handling problem..

Seriously if that's your "off road setup" ya gotta aim much higher..
But let's get back to the GTS setup and its potential be be an amazing supercar with just a little suspension setup and a tune..

I also have a 991.1 C2S and have been looking at a GT S to purchase sometime in the near future. I'm also about 20 minutes away from this car (for another 10 days or so).
How did it go?

Get the GTS slap on a tune and proper springs and you will have an equal to the new GTR.
Money left over for all the carbon wings your heart desires..
PS: If I thought the GTR were a better car I would own a GTR but I don't and now you know why..

I bought this car back in 1989 and made it the most powerful Group B car from Ford Motorsports UK..
The car chassis #106 sold again two years ago for $585k
So suck off trolls...
