Digital Dash Retrofit??
Has anyone here retrofitted a digital dash into their GT/S/C from a newer GT or C63S? This guy did it for his C450 or something from a S550

I think you can do it - here is a link to a parts for the W205 upgrade that you posed:

havent seen it done with the GT though.

Yup. Can be done.

they can retrofit the Speedo cluster from w221 into the existing pod or retrofit the 2020 Comand plus the dash. It’s big bucks either way...

The analog dash is authentic and pretty good! Fits the car and keeps the model in line with factory spec.
Why would you want to change it for the digital dash at the significant ££ it will cost - aside from the fact that it is a significant modification to wiring etc.

If you plan on keeping the car for a long long time and that modification makes you happy then go for it.
my experience over the years with any modifications including exhaust and aero bits, is if you look at selling or trading the car they either don't add any value or even detract from the value of the car, plus possibly make it harder to sell.
My rule of thumb, any mods must be 100% reversible and i forecast a near 100% depreciation on the modification parts + labor to revert back to stock.
Bottom line, only do it if you keep car for a long long time and you really enjoy it and it makes a meaningful difference for the money spent (which will depreciate to $0, especially after factoring cost of labor)

Precisely why I don’t do it

You need to hack and cut out bits and pieces out of the dash to make the screen fit. No waybto revert back to stock. Any potential 2nd hand buyer who has half a brain would question the screen mod.
If i had money to burn and was mod happy i would call up Brabus. Otherwise, keep stock or non evasive mods

I'd be more interested in a command system update before the digital dash - it's a leap ahead with the 2020 setup. I've come to depend on CarPlay and it's a little disappointing that the system was overlooked on this part of their fleet....not enough that I don't completely forget it when I press the gas though.
