Wax Blaster Wax Remover
The other day I "detailed" my wife's Volvo... I say detailed in quotations because I rushed through and payed little attention to detail, so now the textured plastic trim looks really ugly with whitish streaks that make the car look really, really bad. After a couple of weekends of procrastinating, today I tried to remove the stupid things (she gives me "the look" everytime she sees at the car). Well they won't come off with regular means.
I found this product on the 'net-- Wax Blaster Wax Remover, which sounds like exactly the thing I need. Can anyone who has used it before tell me if it's any good? Any other tips for getting rid of those ugly, whitish marks on the plastic trim?

Like you I own a Volvo with the dreaded black trim. I've owned 3 Volvo's now, and it always seems like Volvo will introduce a car with that dreaded black trim, then 1/2 way thru the model run, they'll switch to body color moldings (what they should have used all along!)
.. The 1997 960 that I got was like that, and it was a pleasure to wax!
Anyway, the stuff I use to get rid of the wax is just plain old Mineral Spirits from Home Depot.. $2/quart. Use sparingly.

You should use a product that will not stain your trim like Zaino or Pinnacle if you are a carnuba nut. Stay away from products like NXT as they will stain your trim bad. What product did you use that left the stains?

White wax on the balck plastic? I remember those days with my white 850R. I've used acetone followed by plastic/vinyl dressing with some success.
