Best bet is to clay bar them and go for some heavy duty car polish. Treat them like the paint on the car. They are the same.
As a matter of fact I tried waxing them last night, and noticed that it did help it some but not completely. I think that even though I will not be able to fix them 100%, I would like to get them as cleared up as possible.

Wax is not the same as polish. The latter is abrasive and must be followed by the former.
Wash, Clay, Polish, Wax in that order.
