What are your diesel pricsing doing?

Here in AZ it's odd..

In some places in the Phoenix/Scottsdalea area it's up at $2.79/gal or about $.10 more than super... in other parts it's as low is $2.39/gal or about same as Regular unleaded.

Makes no sense, and there is no rime or reason to who's prices at what..

I'm paying $2.49/gal at a local Shell

I go to a truck stop for my fuel. Truck stops are best for diesel fuel. They have a high turnover rate, which means you're getting fresh fuel, unlike diesel fuel found at regular gas stations, who knows how long it's been since the fuel was originally put in their underground tanks, diesel fuel that sits up for a long time is a good place for fungus (commonly called algae) to grow, you definately don't want that in your fuel system. On top of that, the truck stop has the best price that I've seen, which was as of Saturday, $2.419, just a few cents over premium gasoline. In other parts of the city, I've seen it as high as $2.999.

I just don't get how prices can be all over the map with in one region.. the same isn't the case for Gas.

I just say with in 3 miles $2.49 at Chevron, and $2.79 at Shell... .30 cents??

I filled up yesterday for $2.319 at the usual Texaco truck stop on I-45 in north Houston. It dropped 10 cents in one week, the cheapest truck stop that's close to me.

SEPT 2005 CLS 320CDI,
I filled up yesterday, £0.939 per litre or $1.61, converting to US gallons this equals $6.09 per US gallon. This was one of the supermarket chain petrol stations, therefore one of the cheapest.

Extortionate in England in comparison to yours.

Wow, $6.09 a gallon. I knew there was a significant differential in price for the U.K. but did not realize it was that much. I like your diesel CLS. Maybe once we get our low sulfur diesel market started here we will get that model here as well in the U.S.

Here in the Denver area Diesel is currently WAY higher than regular.

I paid $2.06 for regular "stuff" (yuck, GAS!) but the cheapest Diesel near me is still $2.51. Normally, Diesel and regular run neck and neck. When the prices FIRST started going up like crazy, Diesel hung back and was 50 cents a gallon cheaper!!!

I don't mind when it does this. It keeps the short sighted, weekend Diesel folks out of the dealerships and makes shopping easier for me!!

$2.35 gal in Scottsdale, or .20 cheaper than Super.. at a new Chevron.

Now that makes more sense.. I got a tank full, and asked the manager I can pre-buy a second tank!

Fuel at the Texaco truck stop on I-45 North where I always go is at $2.299, while the Pilot truck stop on the same highway a few more miles closer to town is $2.359. There are cheaper truck stops, but they're much further away from home than the others are, about 25-50 miles out compared to the 7-10 miles of the ones I usually frequent.

The range in Northern Virginia seems to be from $2.51 to $3.29 right now. Most stations are around $2.99.

I need to find a truck stop.
