hey jimbo, have you experienced any problems, such as smoke when pumping diesel from your tank to your cars? I tried using an electric pump with my SVO and started to see smoke come out of the intake line.... safe to say I use a cloth filter and pour it into my aux tank now, by hand.

W123 '85 300D turbodiesel, TC slippage buddy(2nd gear 3K "shift", 3rd gear 3K"shift", 4th gear 3K, etc.
W126 '84 300SD turbodiesel, ridiculous miles to a tank
No plans on acquiring a CDI. I don't need one right now, as I can squelch 30 mpg out of my 2.88 : 1 diffed, zero-overdrive, lack of TC clutch 722.321 transmission paired with my 603. Pretty good for a scaled 3960 lb (no driver no luggage 90% full tank) S-Class LWB sedan.
But I am intrigued, and should I see one I would ask the owner to pop the hood so I could listen to the engine, and take a glance at things underhood.
Is it possible one of the CDI owners could post videos of their cars in action? I would REALLY like to see and hear what these cars can do.
Here's a 350SDL accelerating onto the Spaulding TP from Pease in Portsmouth, NH.

2oil or highway fuel?
In the past I've had a '71 220D, and an '81 300D.
Currently looking for a decent, inexpensive 240D for boy child.
I am currently driving an 03 TDI Jetta GLS Wagon 5spd manual........I am a big Lincoln nut..........recently sold my 92 Mk7 LSC........plan is to find a clean diesel version and upgrade to new interior.
Thanks Christopher
