AEM replaced parts

Hi guys, I'm wondering is it possible to keep the old parts when you preform the AEM , like ECU old exhaust and intake?

Not possible, they don't want to give those parts back to you, probably legal issues with that.

Beside specific situation with AEM, the old parts always belong to whoever paid for the replacement.
You might notice that in last years MB USA is selling new parts as "rebuild" to get the old parts back. 1 of those politic movement that average owner might not figure out.

Not exactly. I bought these parts they are mine. MB was sued and has to install new parts and pay for the new parts.

You can sure tell your dealer that. Let us know how it works out.

Better have copy of judgement confirming your claim in hand.

By the way, where are you getting the list of parts you're hoping to get back? My AEM included the following:
Software update, presumably they reflashed (not replaced) the ECU
NOx, PM sensors
DPF and DOC
SCR- Catalyst
Coolant thermostat.
That's it. The extended warranty covers a lot of other parts, the details of which can be found online.

The AEM scope wary quite a lot between the models.
My 4 cylinder Sprinter got only 1 new sensor and ECU flash, the 6-cylinder Sprinter got new DEF injection pipe, while E class have most of exhaust replaced.
