W639 109cdi won't start/crank after sam change
And also sam gives fault code that i dont remember now, but something like it's defect and should be replaced. But the indicators work now, hooray.
Is there a bad luck and used sam is broken? Same hw/sw numbers than old one. Or is ecm now broken?
.
And also I found "Synchronization of control modules N73(EZS) control unit and N3\9(CDI control unit) is being performed --- status NO"

Now tried with different sam and still not starting, 3 cranks and stops.
Sam fault codes:
-B102c-002 unknown fault type 2
-B102d-009 signal terminal 15 at Sam does not match with signal terminal 15 at canbus
-B1037-001 component n10 (Sam) has activated emergency lightning, signal from s1(exterior lamp switch) is implausible

You can't repair something you can't diagnose.
Why don't you add your location to the profile, so we can try to make more direct advise?
At this point that looks like dealer visit to me.
Well, for reason I do not know "unknown fault" is not so unknown in germany.
Have to find third fuse/sam unit, this one was oxidiced under relays and fuses and had even water inside.

These two have good stuff for electrical. I thought one or the other had a thread about sam locations (all of them for the w212) but I cant find that thread. Is alot of good info. Think maybe a message to either member can find it for ya.
From what I recall the sams and other sensors will wick water thru the non soldered pins and wire entry points so those should get sealed and soldered properly to prevent in the future. Planning on doing some of mine ecspecially the collision warning radars before they get fubarred (if not already). Not sure if this will help at all, couldnt find the main thread I was looking for.
