How to remove driver's low beam bulb - E350 coupe

Hi guys,

Just bought a 2011 E350 coupe. My fist mod would be replaced the OEM bulbs to 6000k bulbs and the interior light bulbs to LEDs.

I searched the forums and still could not find the way to remove the driver's low beam bulb and the interior bulbs. What is the bulb type of the low beam? D1S?

Can someone please tell me how to do the bulbs swapping?

Thanks for a million.

My vehicle came with factory xenon low beam headlights.

After removing the front wheels, what will be next?

Thanks.

Just pickup my vehicle on Saturday .

After a close inspection of the engine bay, I found there was a plastic cover with a turn-knob on the wheel fender liner on each side of the vehicle.

Once you turn the knob 90 degree and pull the plastic cover, you can reach the hand and turn the circular plastic cap and remove the low beam bulbs. Looks straight forward and without any problems. I "believe" the D1S bulbs are held and secured by two metal clips.

The other circular projector light beside the low beam (bi-xenon), I don't see any light bulbs inside. It looks like they are factory led type, therefore, it is impossible to change.

I changed all of them already. Go to W204 forum and find the interior lightings D.I.Y. The e-class is almost the same as the c-class procedures.

Hey Ultraman, did you have to remove the wheels to get to the bulb?

I got them from ebay for $132. The seller claims they are new but removed from headlights that got damaged during shipping.

Can you do a D.I.Y. with pictures while you are doing this mod?

I believe most of us would like to see.

Thanks.
