In my older Lexus, the tint in them definitely protects from the heat of the sun, but the place that did that isn't around.
Any suggestion on brand to try to be sure is used to have an effective heat protecting tint?
I am assuming that having the dealer do it will make it more expensive than about anywhere else. I always feel I've been beaten up when I have to purchase parts at a dealer. Maybe that's not the case for something like tint add-on.
oh...just to go with the flow: I'm 63.
I won't have mine until close to April.

Anyways,
I got my windows tinted today, I'm in cali and I went 35% all the way around and it looks really really good. At first I didn't want to tint the windows cause I wanted that clear look but I'm not regretting it one bit. I had 5% on my last car.
I'll have pics up in about 2 days after the tints are done drying and I get a car wash.
Also anyone used the creamic based films? Looks like here in NY the law limits you to total 30% light rejection so that doesn't leave you with many options, The ceramic product also provides UV and heat rejection (IR) as well so this might make it more of an option, will protect leather interiors, cooler interior temps, UV exposure/cancer issues. But from what I've been reading it's quite a bit more expensive than your standard tinting films. TIA
