Snow Driving
Anyone have any experience driving this in the snow. I know its supposed to be terrible since its RWD but we have a snow storm coming up and I am wondering if I should just leave this at home.
Also has anyone tried putting snow tires on it to see if that helps?

If you plan on any winter driving, you should consider winter tires.
You never know about weather changes. Even if there is no snow, the temperature may drop which harden the rubber.

+1. Don't know about your S550, but the snow/ice performance of every other car I've had was dramatically improved with a set of top quality winter tires all around.
I've found Michelin top tier winter tires to be very effective in the past. Fortunately, I don't have to take the new E350C out of the garage in bad weather.
If you have the type of transmission in which you can choose E or S driving mode, if you're in significant snow and/or ice, also try keeping the car in E mode and choose third gear as your top running gear. That will effectively start you from a stop in second gear and keep you between second and third full time, which may reduce wheel spin and improve traction overall. It will also provide shift points and characteristics a bit more compatible with poor road traction conditions than those of S mode, which are designed for performance.

Fun? Try having fun at rush hour in 4 ft. of snow and nearly running out of gas after sitting in one place on the expressway for over an hour. Stuck, your stuck when they need 4 people with shovels to dug you out before the wrecker can put a chain on your car and hope to get it out. Ya, I'm talken about Buffalo, NY. Ya, fun !!
