Break Dust
i might take your advice and do it on my cars. which brand do you use?
OP: when the time comes to change your pads, please update this thread with the brand. other members might find it helpful as well. thats how we pay it forward.
My old CLK320's alloy wheels were literally black after only a few days driving. The first thing that amazed me after purchasing my new 2012 E350C was how incredibly clean all four wheels remained after even extended driving periods.
IIRC, Mercedes began using different brake materials in some models in 2012, including the C207's. Perhaps one of the techies here can elaborate.
If you replace with the same type parts when it comes time, you should continue to enjoy the absence of excessive brake dust build-up.

I can't swear this absence of brake dust is valid for all wheel styles, but it certainly is with the OEM AMG Sport Package 18" wheels most of these cars were shipped with, as in the picture in post #2 here:

BTW, welcome to the forum. Lots of good, helpful people both here and over in the W212 thread.
