12 E550 Convertible upgrades!!

I just started not that long ago on this forum. I have a 2012 E550 convertible that I am doing upgrades to. Please let me know what you think along the way!! So far I have put H&R lowering springs, 20x10 and 20x8.5 AXE wheels, upgraded grill with matte black and blacking out the badges. Getting pictures of that today. Also painted calipers and parts on the motor. Waiting on Carbon fiber front lip and diffuser along with the spoiler. Next will be the resonator delete with the amg tips.

Very nice! I look forward to following your upgrades. Where are you getting the diffuser / AMG tips from (this will likely be my next upgrade on my 2012 E550 Coupe)?

This is a good place to get carbon fiber parts but it takes a little while because it comes from over sea which is where all the carbon fiber parts are made.

I got the front lip off ebay. I just installed it but no pics yet. Will post some soon.

My new upgrade is the Front CF spoiler. I have the rear on order along with the big fin diffuser. I also ordered the amg paddle shifter extensions. Next is the amg brake package off a C63.

Luv it looks great, in your opinion what's the biggest benifit of the lowering springs? I'm thinking about it but don't want to stray too far from original comfortable ride??

I got them off ebay. I'm waiting on them to come it. Make sure you get the non AMG extensions as your factory paddle is different shape. I think the E550 is the A style.

You can't hardly tell the difference in the ride with the lowering springs. Best set I have ever put on a car. Better handling for sure but more aggressive stance which is want I was going for.

Nice!

Change out the orange side marker light (I went with clear - bulbs are orange when on but silver coated so perfectly legal).

CLK55
Can anyone who's dropped, share what springs (if not a poster from above with the H&R's) they have, and the corresponding measurement from the lowest point of their front bumper to the ground? I'd, and I'm sure others considering dropping their 207 's would appreciate it. Also, I presume the 207 is like a W208 and most benzes where the springs have a rummer shim on the perch, CLK/E are measured in MM's or by "bumps" does anyone know the stock measurement in bumps on their 207's? ..as for those who want less of a drop, that may be another solution w/o getting new springs.. just get smaller shims..

Dropping a car with hydraulic suspension is a dream compared to static springs. In my old SL55 (which had lowering links), you see a dip coming, just tap the button, raise the nose... Unlike CLK's I've had.. see a dip..and hope you have the ability to turtle-speed by it, or just hope & pray, lol..

I'm probably about to pick up a Cabrio this week, and of course springs are on the menu

I personnaly think you are overdoing it bro, its not a Civic here...
I just got my 2012 E550 Conv and plan on leaving stock... Maybe cause i work in the used car business i see too many ugly mods and after a while you start appreciating a nice stock car...
Cheers
