Battery indicator "See operators manual"
I have a 2014 E350 Cab, and it starts and runs fine, but there is a red battery symbol and "See operators manual." My eco light is gone and I can't change the center gauge screen while it's there. I purchased a Carly OBD 2 reader and it gave me the following error code (which returns each time if I reset it)
Fault Code: 1DF71
Fault Explanation: Fault: The relay 'Decoupling of starter battery'
has a malfunction. The actuator is blocked.
So curious, I pulled the AUX battery, car started fine and then gave me the regular error but also an error about the AUX battery being dead.
Here's the error code for that:
Fault Code: B11C116
Fault Explanation: Fault: The additional battery has a malfunction.
The limit value for electrical voltage has not been attained.
So, Are both these errors related to the battery? (It's 100 dollars to replace and I'd prefer it to be just a cheap relay/actuator/fuse) Though I am aware the car is 5 years old, and probably on it's original 2 batteries plus its starting to get cold near here. I just purchased this car and it gave me over 45 days of trouble free driving! If the Car Talk rules apply, the car is white with a black top.
On an unrelated note, the only other error I'm getting on the Carly is:
SG-SW-L - Left headlamp (E1n9) (MB: 2229014201)
Fault Code: 13200
Fault Explanation: Fault: The communication with the controller
'suspension' has a malfunction. - No sub type information / Fault:
Communication with control unit 'Suspension' has a malfunction. _ /
Event: Communication with control unit 'Suspension' has a
malfunction. / Fault: The communication with the controller '' chassis ''
has malfunction / Fault: Communication with control unit ''suspension''
has a malfunction. The communication with the controller '' chassis ''
has malfunction
I don't have adjustable suspension, so I don't know what this could be, self leveling headlights problem?
Thank You in advance.

Been a while but yes. (I actually just sold the car and switched to an X5) But the mechanic found out there was a module that was not functioning in the engine compartment and that the main battery was almost dead. Carvana warranty covered the module, I had to pay to replace the 300 dollar battery. The secondary battery is actually a different error, which I constantly got because I didn't drive more then 2 miles a day.

The DTC B21DF71
Pops up after passing 12mph.
Do you know what Module in the engine compartment was not functioning? I have the same exact problem. But both batteries are new. Front and rear.

AUX voltage control....
solid state AUX-Batt control relay
That DTC fault points to the relay module (See above Pic from Konigstiger post#2).
It's attached to trunk battery. Its circuit is pointed as being the cause... these things are rugged.
Try to find out WHY: (water, bad connections, reset, fuse link, crazy SAM control).
What DC Voltage do you read off this (SSR) Relay ?
For everyone else :
CHARGE YOUR BATTERIES BEFORE DRIVING!! Don't rely on the car to charge flat batteries with an unregulated current.
It's designed for top-off duty only.

Sorry, it's been a couple of minutes since I got that error. (hopeing it doesn't happen again since I have an SL400 now) But the shop replaced the main battery and a "module" and I don't have the paperwork that tells me what it was. If it was the small battery it would say something along the lines of "your auto start stop is disabled" or something.
