Battery question
Hey guys its been a little while since I have popped up on here but just had a quick question as I kind of goofed up. My battery is getting pretty old as its the original on a 2011 e550. Now everywhere I looked said I needed a group 49 agm battery. So I went out and bought one and in result it is much to big for the battery area. Does anyone know the proper battery size for our vehicle?

H7 or H8 AGM would fit from what Interstate Battery mentions, and H7 from Walmart.

I personally use Everstart Max by Walmart and I have always had 5 plus years of life in all of my 4 cars..
Cheers

I think H7 or H8 will fit. Maybe. However, the battery I had, which said something like “original equipment size”, was smaller and the exact size of the H6. So, I bought the H6 and all is good.

H7/94R that's what works on our cars. Got one from Costco/Interstate for $175 and pretty happy with it. Comes with 3 years warranty fulfilled by Costco btw.

Replaced my OEM Battery in January 2020
The OEM battery was 7 years old.
Here are the details about the replacement battery used in my in my 2013 E350 4matic; an Interstate AGM MTX94/RH7.

The OE battery in my '14 E350 Cab just went bad so I'm searching out a new one. All the online parts "check fitment" features, including Interstate/Costco, want to sell me an H6 battery but the car currently has an H7 battery in it. Autozone.com even says an H8 battery is an "alternate fit" but there's no way an H8 is fitting in there. The tray is clearly designed for an H7 battery. I can't even imagine how an H6 would be mounted as there doesn't appear to be that much adjustment in the hold-down bracket to account for the nearly 2" difference in length between the H6 and H7 batteries.
Bottom line, I'm searching for an H7/L4/94R battery today.
