I have a 2013 E550 coupe with Keyless Go in which one FOB was lost and the backup FOB had a corroded motherboard. Car was towed to the dealership with 3 used FOBs (same P/N as originals) from Ebay, thinking they could clear and re-program the used FOBs to my car. They stated a Mercedes policy prevents them from doing this and I have to buy a new FOB. They ordered it and told me it was on backorder. 4 months later the backordered new FOB comes in but it does not have the Keyless Go feature. They told me the Keyless Go FOBs are no longer available and the non-KG FOB I got is showing "Last in Stock",meaning once the stock is depleted they will no longer be available. I was then told the car is useless if my new FOB is lost and none are available. Crazy! How can Mercedes take the stance of no longer producing FOBs needed for their vehicles? Does anyone have any other insight to this situation? Can the used Ebay FOBs technically be cleared/renewed and re-programmed for another car or are the FOBs a one time program thing? Thanks

What is the first registration date of your car? If it is within 10 years from the date you bought/ordered the new key I think the law in the U.S. requires the car manufacturer to provide the original part.

some can do miracles. you will have to send out you ignition switch and working key
or drive there

I found this locksmith online (NorthCoast Keyless) that has OEM new fobs for $99.94. As anyone who has lost a key knows, the replacement from the dealer is BOHICA. So, I ordered one to see if it was OEM or aftermarket. Well, to my surprise, it does have the Mercedes start on it and by all appearances looks genuine. The model, FCC ID, etc. are all written inside the key. I will be going to the dealer for programming later this week. I will report back if I am successful or not. Here's a link.
I sent my OEM non working KG FOB to Nothridge Fix in Cali and was told its a "no fix". Broken trace was restored but BGA chip firmware has an issue. I no longer have Keyless GO and don't believe there is anyway to get it back (KG FOBs discontinued). I am now stuck with non KG FOBs. Kinda sucks this feature has been lost forever. I will try to order the one posted to see if it works for KG, I have my doubts.

Try https://northcoastkeyless.com/produc...zdc11-iyzdc12/. I ordered two from them for my 2015 SL400. You could NOT tell the difference between the original fob and the ones I got, down to the Panasonic battery inside. All of the printed info inside were a match. Because you have a 2013, there is a good chance you can find a locksmith that can program the fob. The cutoff was 2014. After that, you can only get the fob programmed by the dealer. Be sure to order NEW.
The dealer claimed they couldn't program them because I didn't buy the fobs from them. So, I returned them for a full refund, no problem.

Here is the key I got from NorthCoastKeyless compared to my original key.
The key on the left is the original and the one on the right is the one I had gotten from NorthShoreKeyless. In particular, notice the FCC ID, Model, and other markings.
