Went a little bit over board
The newly acquired C207 has some bumper scrapes, door dings and some lovely scratches that a stage 2 polish cannot take out. Took it to my trusty body shop and they said half of the car needs repaint then the shop owner said no way it will match as it is a 15 year old paint. Next thing you know the entire car is getting painted. Will delete the chrome strip on the sides then refinish the amg wheels. 1 more week and it will be ready. Took out the window alum pieces and polish them up and 15 years of aging gone using alum polish paste. Want to add wheel spacers for a flush look but dont know what size to get....suggestions please on stock setup. Still debating if I will install a 12.3" android screen on this car to bring it up to latest tech. Only thing missing on this is the android auto nothing more. You guys think a black lip spoiler will be better than a body colored one?

@shotgun_banjo welcome to the best Merc for value, comfort, and quality. Looks like you have either 2010 or 2011 c207, is it with the NA V6 or NA V8?
I got 2012 E550 C207 in 2021 and enjoy every time I am in the vehicle. I think a new headset may be nice but maybe more clean to keep original, I honestly don’t care I don’t have the Android Auto, Bluetooth stick connects and have a phone holster in the cup holder with a power cable plugged into the rear cigarette 12 V so phone is always fully charged and close to me to tap and load whatever audio or video I want. I want to use the factory screen for a dvd then enable DVD in Motion and you can play any dvd and watch it on the factory screen.
I suggest also getting updated puddle lights (many offered with MB or AMG logos), MB OEM rubber floor mat set (if you can find it), and illuminated MB front emblem.

Already have LEDs for the backup light, license plate and the side markers. Have H7 LEDs also for the cornering lights but I need to find a video of how to properly take em out as I had a hard time on my W204 taking it out and putting it back on again. I am assuming it will be the same but I do not want to break any clips inside the housing. I'll replace the inside lights and door lights to LEDs as well then see if I will get one of those merc projector lights.
Either I go with the android module to keep the stock look but I already have the 12.3 android screen from the W204. I just purchased the plastic holder for it to fit the c207.
I only have the NA V6. I like the smoothness of the NA vs the DI version and for a RWD it is more than/fast enough. I drove the v8 version of this and I will not be able to drive it during winter time but yes of course that thing is like a rocket. The GLE 43 will be hooligan vehicle. I want this one to be the smooth sporty cruiser.
I specifically looked for this vehicle as I know the NA engine will last longer as I had ZERO problems with it on my W204 and GLK 350 before. Plus with only 42k on the motor it is the cheapest low mileage c207 I can find. This one has the launch package which I am not sure the difference between a regular one but I think the designo seats is the most obvious one.

You seem to be putting an awful lot of money into an old V6 Mercedes. Hopefully it'll serve you well for a while. Be sure to post some photos when you're done!
Regarding the Android Auto thing, just do whatever you think you'll want and actually use. Personally, I don't really care about CarPlay / Android Auto. I have it on my Lexus, but never use it. I prefer to use maps directly on my phone when I need directions- it's just way easier. For my E coupe, I use the stock Bluetooth system for phone calls. I have a Bluetooth device that interfaces with the MMI connector in the glovebox for playing music from my phone, and it also allows me to use the steering wheel controls to skips tracks. That's about all I need (phone and music), so spending a bunch of time and aggravation installing an Android Auto system wouldn't be worth it for me. But that's just me.
Lastly, you sure about the Designo interior thing? I'm pretty sure the seats would be ventilated if you had it, but maybe I'm wrong. I just have the basic interior in my 2010 550, but even mine has heated and cooled ventilated seats.

100% I got a designo seats. The car only had 42k kilometers on it and has full service history. I see it as a cheap and better car vs buying new as I know thr mechanicals of this era of MB. Also, I like driving something that you dont see too often.

That much work in a car with only 42K kilometers (19K miles), where in the world has he been driving that thing? Couldn't you have bought a much better car for the money you'd be spending on it?

Let me see....buy the car for 8k, spend 6k for body repairs then around 1.5k for fluid maintenace maybe around 3 days to detail in and out, total of around $15k for a almost brand new car that you know the ins and out vs paying +$60k for a brand new vehicle. It is not just a choice...it is a logical one.

Progress....painting done....sort off....hood needs to be repainted again as there was a cat hair embeded on the paint. Wheels refinished will need new center caps on it. Interesting how it sits on a 17"×8" wide 45 offset rim with 235/40 on it (came from w204 winter setup).

2012 E350 Cabriolet now SOLD to my son
LOOKS NICE i would put the chrome strip back along the side, it will look like it is going fast just sitting there then...!!
kudos on the NA v6. they are smooth and return great mileage.and are strong enought for fast cruising....
look out for the oil gallery check valves and tensioner check valves n the NA v6 and get them replaced if no documentation. If you start getting rattle at startup then , do them straight away.

That is looking good! Quick suggestion, you might want to replace the amber side marker lenses with clear or smoked versions. I have the smoked ones on my black coupe.

I am thinking clear. But maybe when I get tired of the yellow marker. If I go smoked I need to start coverjng the chrome bits of the vehicle and potentially change the wheels or center cap with black inserts.

6 hours of paint correction and 3 layers of wax plus a spray of the silica spray and she is done boys and girls! I like it a lot! This 15 year old car is still turning heads. Now a trip to the dealer to get the airbag recall done. Next question, should I go with gloss black spoiler or body colored?

Well done, shotgun_banjo! Your new girl looks gorgeous, and I might add a worthy recipient of "all that work" regardless of whether the V6 / E350 or V8 / E550 iteration. I opted for an E350 over the E550 for some of the same reasons you shared. As for the performance "attributes" of the modest V6 (ha ha ha), I find the 300+ HP all I really need given my coupe is NOT a race car, but rather a sporty, comfortable "touring" coupe.
