I can't help other than to post this link: https://mbworld.org/forums/mercedes-...er-wiring.html

Not that it's the answer, and probably not your controller and wiring, but I assume your controller is causing it so it's simply some info about it.

Thanks!

My driver side is not presenting, and theres no motor sound too.
and on XENTRY it says REAR CONTROL MODULE (N22/6) and RIGHT BELT PRESENTER.

I guess i shall change the N 22/6 module first.

Here’s my story about the seatbelt presenter from 3 years ago.

https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-c...ent-issue.html

Short answer, go on eBay, buy a used control box for $30-40 and plug and play replace behind the trunk liner. And your seatbelt presenter should work the way it should again. The control boxes go out, unlikely that the motor is malfunctioning.

thanks for your reply! But I am worried a used control box would not last long or if other function is not working.

i don’t mind spending $400 on a brand new. But I not sure if it needs programming.

i have xentry (no online), vediamo and Monaco. Wonder if this can do for the n22/6 module

I am 2.5 years later and mine is working perfect. Only issue is the button on the dashboard to do presenting doesn’t work and I haven’t spent anytime to debug it. But whenever I open and close my door the seatbelt is presenting itself.

I did not need to program anything. Just plug and play.

My is a cabriolet and my part is 207 900 43 00. I don’t think it cost $30-40

The part number you provided is for the convertible roof control. That is not the seat belt presenter part number(s).

I have looked thru WIS wiring diagram and have confirmed that for convertible A207, the roof module controls the seatbelt presenter too.

Does that mean that a different part number than A2079004400 is needed for the cabrio? I have the same issue with my A207 2011 E250, the seat belt extender is not working and is currently stuck extended. The roof operates normally though.
I was just about to order the rear control unit part no. A2079004400 as previous advice from ibbij.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Dear @konigstiger or @audiowhiz ,

Can you help the convertible A207 owners know whether they can buy the seatbelt presenter module that coupe C207 owners use or if they have to replace their roof module in order to have seatbelt presenter module?

Thank you very much for your help and support.

based on my research and looking thru WIS, the coupe uses a different control module for it while the convertible uses the rear control module N22/6 which controls the roof and seat belt

Hello all,

I would like to share how I fixed my seat belt extender. @leo015

Background

I am driving a Mercedes A207 2011 E250 Cabriolet. Seat belt presenter for driver side not working.

Error on Xentry as follows:

N22/6 - Rear Control Unit (SG-FOND)

- B229949 - Control unit 'Rear Passenger Compartment' has a malfunction. There is an internal electrical fault

- B273E29 - The position sensor 'Right Belt extrender' has a malfunction. There is an invalid signal

Research

So i have XENTRY (offline), EPC and WIS. I studied the wiring diagram and realised that N22/6 is connected to A10 (left presenter) and A11 (right presenter).

I ruled out the motor of the extender spoil because i dont hear any gear or motor sound.

Control Module

Locate the original module in my car. Item was A 207 900 43 00

Went to my local (singapore) stockist and bought the control module A 207 900 65 00 (Part number different because this is the supercede of 43 00)

Installating the module

Plug and play only. Tough part is accessing it as its located at the rear right of the trunk (right hand drive)

Coding

- No flasing required

- Coding require only 2 settings:

1) Air cap install (Yes/No)

2) Seat Belt button (Active/Not Active)

- Active - Button at center aircon vent area)

- Not Active - Button at the row of buttons below the COMMAND

No requirement for XENTRY online.

thanks @Chevota @ibbij

thanks @Chevota @ibbij

Dear benyapzl,

Thanks for your detailed explanation! I would therefore assume that the part no. for me would be the same, correct?

Thinking back now I just realized something that never occurred to me as I never gave it much thought. Whenever I would operate the roof top, the seat belt extender would go crazy for the next couple of days (working/not working/staying extended) until if would finally stop working. So indeed it seems that in my case the control unit operating the roof is at fault.

Can anyone help me locate/source the control unit within the EU?

Thank you in advace!

Sounds good. Is there somewhere you would recommend I can get it within the EU without paying dealership prices? Also just out of curiosity, the part no. A2079004400 previously advised would not work as it has no wiring for the seat belt extender correct?

Quick update, I had someone run diagnostics on the car and these were the errors that came up.

"rear passenger compartment control unit". Is the previous correspondence and diagnosis on the thread regarding part no. a2079006500 still relevant?
