Multifunction seats

Fuses found under Power and ground distribution > Fuse.
Can also look under Body and frame > Seats.
Fuses in trunk. Seems 44,45 and 60 are seat related.

Sniff around for a slight burned smell back near the aforementioned trunk fusebox. The pneumatic pump that operates the multi function system is located nearby. Mine burned itself out due to a leak in the system (twice)..and I could smell it.
or maybe I'm wrong.

ps I seldomt drive at night..so I don't really know about the seat functions being lit.

What is your vin, ill try to find the wiring diagrams.
And what control are you talking about, on the door or down below on the side of the seat? I just have basic electric seats in my W204 and dont think there is a light on anywhere for it.
Fuse 60 only applies if you have Option Code 409.
Looks like there are small tabs on the sides of the covers. Probably use a tiny flat head screw driver and push it outwards to unlock the tab.

now you know that the pump works fine ! Next step would be to disassemble the seat enough to inspect all air lines..connections, and seats bladders for a leak. After replacing all of the aforementioned on my car about 4 years ago, the feature worked well for about 2 months. Occasionally ( like yours) the lumbar will inflate/deflate.
A very poor design.
yup.
