Garage Door Opener
Hi, folks. I'm new to this forum. I have a 2020 E 450 Cabriolet and I have been experiencing problems with the garage door opener feature, I programmed the opener on the visor of my car according to the MB manual. When I push the button on the visor, it opens the garage. The problem I'm having is that when I pull into the garage and push the button to close it, the garage door does not close. If I leave the vehicle and push the button inside my garage, it closes so the problem does not appear to be with the garage opener but with the opener function in my car.
Has anyone else experienced this and have suggestions for fixing it?

No problems here (open and close with same button).
Can it be your door has seperate (rolling?) codes for open and for close? Then you should program 2 buttons in the mirror: one for open, the other for closing the door.
Just try and program a second button to be sure.

No problems with my opener
My 2019 E450 cabriolet has the opener on the rearview mirror. The units in my two car garage had a button to push. Both doors programmed without issue (except needing a step stool to get up to the learn button on the openers)

Sorry to bring this up, but I want to thank you for sharing your experience, I understand my problem because of you. It turns out my door had rolling codes, to open and close. I couldn't figure out what was wrong myself, but I read the tips on this forum and decided to give it a try. Called Emergency Garage Door Repair, and they programmed my door to open and close. Now I was relieved because I had to manually get out of the car and open the door every time.

2019 E450 Cab, 2021 E350 Sedan
On my 2019 E450 cab and in my 2021 E350 sedan the garage opener continues to work after turning off the engine as long as my door is still closed. Once I open the door the opener no longer works.

Could be the car not running and vehicle door open issue; however, another thing that can interfere with garage door openers are LED light bulbs. If the OP changed their opener to user an LED bulb, the door would open fine as the bulb is off, but once the door opens, the bulb can cause RF interference. Liftmaster/Chamberlain call this out as an issue. The OP garage door from button in garage, get in car, drive out ... does the door close with the buttons in the car?

I have had problems opening and closing doors during power outages. There won't be a problem if a battery backup is installed. I recommend you don't skimp on it when you buy new garage doors at https://doorsdirect2u.co.uk/product-.../garage-doors/.
The electric drive levers are removed from the leaves to urgently unlock the swing doors. The work is not complicated. Four bolts are unscrewed, and as a result, the drive is easily disconnected not only from the leaves but also from the supporting pillars.

Like Zentro, I recently had to replace my 25-year-old LiftMaster garage door opener, which simply died. On the advice of the technician a got a LiftMaster 8160WB. Very quiet, has battery backup (very important in earthquake country), works with the buttons on the rearview mirror, and also has a wi-fi connection to my cellphone. Works with an app on my iPhone that almost instantly tells me when the door had been opened and when it's been closed, shows the status of the garage door (open or closed and for how long), and allows me to open or close it with the press of a button on my phone. Nice features if you've ever had to go back to the garage or drive around the block to see if you actually remembered to close the damn door!
