Tune up on an 86!

Ok fellas.. the cars been chillin for a while and its snowing now so i mean chillin... battery is fully juiced up,,, gas i low yes but still.. wont turn over? oil is good, coolent is the gree **** but its not frozen,,, the thing just wont turn , u know? no engine jump when turning the key.. just that lovley " IM NOT GONNA START RIGHT NOW!!!" noise... anyway,, what should i do ? i want to get her runnin so i can get it to the benz mechanic to get fixed up. p.s. the C43 forum suck A**. no one gives a sheeat on there very much... u guys chatt all day ,, and help eachother... stupid C43 haha

if the starter isn't goin i'd say bad starter....... if it is cranking i'd say check for spark.

when you say won't turn over, do you mean there is absolutely nothing happening when you trun the key? not even a click? If that's the case then I would check the battery first. You either have a low battery, a faulty ignition or some kind of electrical problem. Take a voltometer and make sure you're getting at least 12 volts on the battery. If the starter is actually truning the engine over but it won't fire, then it could be a whole host of other things.

if you have a very "heavy weight" oil, like 50 or something it may keep you from turning over, in very cold weather.
