W124's
Feeler: My 1995 040 E420

*** MOD'S LEAVE THIS POST IN THE W124 SECTION ***

Thinking about buying an AMG. Thought about this hard - MIGHT sale my current car now for it.

Nothing is for sure yet but just trying to see what I can get for it.

Spec's

1995 E420
Miles: 127,***
Condition: Well taken care of - some cracks in the hood (since MB experimental stages with paint sucked *** back in the day) and a couple really small dings from the previous owner) - I'm the third owner.

Mods:

Suspension:
Vogtland V8 Lowering Springs
Bilstein Sport Shocks
Wiechers Sport Front Strut Bar
500E Front & Rear Sway Bar
Sportline Rear Subframe Bushing
Adjustable Rear Camber Arm
W124 TE Metal Sway Bar Links
AMG Spring Travel Limiters
AMG Fender Spacer Kit

Lighting:
6000K HID
PIAA Xtreme White H3 Fog's
PIAA Xtreme White H3 Fog's for AMG GenII driving lights
All bulbs interior and out switched to white 6-LED bulbs
Smoked Corner Lights

Performance:
K&N Air Filters

Wheels:
CLK550 AMG
17 x 7.5 with Yokohama ES100 215/45-17
17 x 8.5 with Yokohama ES100 225/45-17
less than 600 miles on them since two weeks

Braking:
C32 Complete front brake swap

Will also consider throwing in E55 4-Piston rear brakes

Body:

Complete AMG GenII Body kit with 3-Piece Ducktail spoiler (not installed and will cost you extra of course)

I think that's it for now, I can't remember what else I have on the car. haha. post or PM me if you're interested. Once again, this is just a feeler to see if I can get any potential buyers. If a deal goes through with a car I want to get then the car will definitely go for sale or I might keep it. Who knows...

AMG
If you were closer, I would consider it....looking at 4-door W124 and W210s to be the kidmobile. Which AMG are you looking at?

Wow, man... after just putting on all of those mods?!

Would you only sell it if people are willing to pay a premium for the mods? Cuz you might have a really hard time finding somebody to buy it if the price is way above blue book.

At least finish the body work before you sell it (j/k). Seriously though, what has prompted this? I don't see why you would want to sell it since you have spent so much time/ money preparing it for SoCal Euro this summer.

BTW, you know I would buy it if I could sell mine, I am moving up to an E420 or 500E next anyways, and your car is the perfect fit for what I want. If you sell this you better buy the Mafia car before some futz buys it. That car is a steal at $18k.

why not just get an S/C for the M119 Honestly, having driven a C32 and a clk 55, nothing feels like the w124 and if you add more power you will have a winner.

E500 W211 ex-E320 W124
I would reconsiderate, think that you wont find any car with the quality of the W124, and in ur 420 u have got 280 hp, much more than what you need, compared to an e55 whats the difference 70 hp? (W210 e55)

Bye

I found sources for a aftermarket tuner in Germany and they make performance cams for the M119 engine. I'm going to look into it more and ask my buddy if it's worth it and if the company is reliable (which they seem to be). We'll see how things go.
