I only have 1 key for my benz and unfortunately it's starting to crack. I've called a bunch of lock smiths and they won't do it, called the dealer and it costs $80 bucks and it has to be shipped from Germany

I saw a company online about a month ago that charged $29. I don't remember the company, and they wanted my drivers license number, so I opted out. I found out later that the dealer wanted the same info plus registration to prevent fraud.

Where are you guys getting your keys from? My dealership wants to charge me $200 for one key!!! I'd love to buy one for $50 or $100. Please let me know where you're getting 'em from.

I call my dealer and I get a key the next day (by overnight fedex) for $40 total.
I've lost 2 keys down in the seat channel somewhere. They just disappear between the center console and the seat never to be seen again.
How hard is it to take a seat out anyway?

It's easy to take the seat out: Move it all the way up and all the way back, then remove the two front bolts. Takes a 10 mm socket. Then move it all the way fwd and remove the two rear bolts. No need to disconnect the wiring - that's hard to do. just prop the seat up & find your keys
