Washington/British Columbia Benz Meet
CAN'T ****ING WAITI've been wondering for a while whether my car is faster than a 300e, m103 or m104, becuase when I bought mine my next choice for a car was a 1992 300ce/m104. That brings up another question though... what kind of driving is this gonna be? I hope we arn't talking a grandpa/sight seeing drive

Just on principle - not disseminating info needlessly. I work in IT and exercise too much healthy paranoia, sometimes.
You know how to contact me. 20th is preferable, but I can make the 27th if we firm it up soon. Lets see how it works for the majority.
Thanks,
Sean
BTW, they are out to get us.Really.

As I recall, there is Evergreen Raceway in Monroe Wa. Perhaps, there is an event that weekend - we could start or finish in the parking lot.
Americans, what's a good run out there? Whidbey Island perhaps, hmmmm???
I would also say we should avoid ferries; just adds a little too much coordination to the whole thing.
I think a Mount Baker drive or something like that would be nice. But I really don't know the area up in Bellingham at all. That's Wolf's and MyFirstBenz's neck of the woods...
We should stay in Bellingham, this is more of a meet, go for lunch, chat etc than a full scale cruise/drive IMO.
Orrrrrrr
The State Park at Birch Bay is only 15 or minutes away from Bellingham and I saw the Pantera Club there one weekend. There is room to park and a short drive through town past the beach would run us past 3 or 4 pubs we could eat at.
The "Sandy Cove", I think it's called, pub and restaurant, has good food for sure.
Feedback? Wolfe, etc. ??
190, sounds like you know what's up. Let's find a scenic spot for pics and hanging out. Bellingham is a pretty area.
The drive to Baker is good, about 45 minutes, but I've been hearing they got lots of snow last weekend, so I don't know what it will be like going up the mountain. Whidbey Island has some awesome driving, and we can take Chuckanut on the way down! You don't have to take a ferry to get there either.
Lake Whatcom has Blodell Park which would be a great spot to meet, and lots of good roads around the lake, connecting to highway nine on the southeast side, then through Deming back to Bellingham and it comes out close to The Hilltop diner.
Birch Bay is a good place to meet but I think staying inland this time of year would be a better choice, unless we get some nice weather. Not to mention there is no driving to be had out there unless you want to do the 2 mile stretch of 25mph beach roads all afternoon.
All that said I think Lake Whatcom would be best because we would have a nice spot to meet, and if you guys feel like it there is plenty of good driving. But I'm not the one coordinating the whole thing... it's up to zorro
I just wanted it to be a more chill cruise, meet, lunch casual drive more than "let's see who's m104 is faster than who's m103..." lol we all know how our cars drive....
