AMG Monoblock II on a coupe?
I have a 94 E320 Coupe, and have rims from a 95 C36 w/ AMG monoblock II rims, which I want to put on the coupe. But the front does not clear the brake caliper. I have a W124 wagon same year w/ AMG monoblocks II and they fit fine. I thought the front of the W124s were all the same (except the 500s), coupes, sedans, and wagons. Am I wrong. I thought these rims should fit. Am I missing something here? I have searched, but have not been successful and I looked at the sticky with the PDF guide. Thanks for any input. I believe these are the rim sizes:
Front Wheels:
7.5 x 17 +35mm
Rear Wheels:
8.5 x 17 +30mm
Front Wheels:
7.5 x 17 +35mm
Rear Wheels:
8.5 x 17 +30mm

225/45-17 in the fronts, and 245/40-17 in the rears which is what I have on my wagon. It still puzzles me, because I think they should fit too. Unless the previous owner changes the rotors and the calipers? But they look stock.

Enzo, my Benzo
STL, you are focusing on the wrong fitment issue...he can clear the fenders etc, he CANT clear the CALIPERS..the brakes...
airbenz, what clearance are we talking about? Maybe a 3 or 5mm hubcentric spacer to push the wheel out slightly for clearance...the 94 coupe may have the slightly larger calipers or the previous owner did an upgrade....

Thanks for the replies guys. I swapped the monoblocks from the wagon, and they do not fit also, so I think that the previous owner modified the brake system. I just wanted to confirm that on a stock E320 coupe or 300ce that monoblocks would fit, which I believe they would since I have seen many coupes with them. But now that presents another problem for me. Either go back to the stock setup for the brakes on the coupe or find new rims.

500E Signal Rot
The C36 uses SL600 calipers/rotors, so if the wheels clear those, they should clear just about everything else. So whether or not they have been upgraded to 400e brakes, they should still fit.
Maybe post some pictures of your brakes.

I was thinking the same thing, but I'll check again. The car is at the mechanics.
