Found a set of Monoblock II's....but they have a 47mm offset. This probably won't fit my wagon will it?

I'd need a big spacer...which should cost a pretty penny making the whole purchase that was a reasonable price, no longer reasonable.

Spacers can be found for relatively cheap. Youd likely need between 10-15mm, and Ive seen them on ebay for as little as $20.00 a set. Around $50.00 is average.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
A hub centric 10mm

would bring you to a 37 and that is middle range for the w210 offsets that people install on the W214's.With 225's on 16's they look like big meats
Eibach has some good spacers. You will need new lugs.Otis rad usa carries them.
Have fun

Make sure you get some good hubcentric spacers, otherwise your car will wobble at best - at worst, it's really dangerous.

I wouldn't cheap out. I paid $250 for a set of 15mm H&R's. Not cheap, but I'm really happy with them.

I agree that its nice to get hubcentric spacers if you can afford them, but they are not necessary. Unless you buy from a reputable company like H&R anyway, you cant be sure youre actually getting what you pay for.

As long as you get spacers that are made for 5x112 wheels specifically, not muilti-compatible, you wont have a problem. Even on the off chance that you get a set that was manufactured with a hammer and chisel, they are so close to their center of rotation, that any mis-balance would be barely noticeable at best.

Though Im not suggesting it, Ive seen people put a washer between each bolt and the hub without issue. Extremely inaccurate, but proof of concept at least.

I was told, and it makes sense, that unless wheels are hubcentric, they're unsafe.

lots of cars
So I tested a couple wheels today and put on new wheels too. I installed a set of 18x8.5 +44 with 5mm front spacers and rears fit fine without spacers. I also tested a set of 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 +42mm offset. The 19s need to be +35 all around to fit fine with fender rolling. They do not fit without spacers.

Also, the most important safety issue is to get the correct lug bolts! They have to be 12mmx1.5 ball seat and depending on the wheel 26-39mm and if using spacer 50mm.

What is the width of the wheels?

Ehh not worth it then. Based on the extra effort and money it doesn't make sense for me. I am in no rush....just trying to find the right set within my price range.

I am trying to stay around the $600-$700 mark for 4 Monoblock II's. Not expecting perfect condition though of course. Gonna keep looking.

Of course, if anybody here finds a good deal let me know

Yeah it definitely makes sense, but being that close to its center of rotation, the weight would have to be significantly more out of balance than it possibly could.

Think about it. Your spacers weigh about 4lbs each. The most they could possibly be out of balance is a few grams. At 90 mph our wheels spin around 1220 rpms.

At around 4" (the radius of the spacer) 1220 rpms translates to 169g's. Thats less than a kilogram of added pressure in any direction. .8 kg is not enough weight to move the driveshaft much if at all. And this is at a speed that most people rarely go.

At the wheel's edge, youre looking at much higher g forces, in the thousands, so balancing becomes necessary.

Keep in mind that most shops won't work on your car once they discover you have spacers and/or won't install the spacers for you. If you do this yourself or use small indie shops, then you probably won't have any problems.

Well, Lorinser and Brabus use from 7mm up to 12mm spacers on their wheels but they come with the correct lug bolts. Do not use spacers if you don't have the correct lug bolts!!!! Remember the longest lug bolt for mb out there is 50mm.

Very nice man. Im jealous.

What are the measurements? They look like 18's

Oh and you can always have the wheels, or better yet just the faces, powder coated for around $100.
