Thats a very interesting and cool place to put the tweeters I would never have thought about that opposed to putting it in the dash or the A-Pillar. Taillights look good as well! nice mods

Thank you... The only downside to the tweeters being in that spot is that the seat belts only slide up halfway but thats no big deal for me.

I like too much your new style. I think this tails perfectly matches with the color combination of the car, one of the most beautiful. The tweeters location also wonders! Congratulations!

Ya i was a little sleptical about the high frequency music in my ear but it isnt bad. Having them there just makes the music sound perfectly clear lol. Next thing is new door speakers.

AMG look front bumper surround
B pillar tweeters looks great. That is what I need to do on my TE![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Instead of replacing your cracked impact strip (new part + paint shop to match Alto Gray), would you have any interest in removing the bumper surround, and replacing that with this fiberglass AMG style surround?
I owned a 95 E300 (with the same black/alto gray color combo you have) and was going to mod it with Bilstein sports, sportline springs, 16" wheels, real stereo, and this Erebuni AMG style front bumper surround with driving lights fitted. Car was wrecked by my father, and sold. I thought about putting it on my 91 300TE (also with alto gray lower cladding), but have not.
This is fiberglass, not plastic. Erebuni part # 401FS. They do not make this anymore (www.spoilers.com). It has fiberglass brackets to mount it to the factory body openings. It was primed and painted (7)700 Alto Gray by a body shop. But- if you want to keep the chrome bumper trim, you would have to mod it to fit on, and you would need to fashion some kind of bracket to mount driving lights to it. I paid $442 for it, and primed and painted MB Alto Gray 700 by a body shop cost $215.
Shipping this would by stupid expensive (and I threw out the huge carton it came in), so I would deliver for free with my TE within 3 hours of Baltimore.
PM if interested. Dave

I used niteshade.
As for the bumper i was thinking about getting this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-Benz-W124-300E-E320-E420-bumper-add-on-spoiler_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14 QQhashZitem45eddd8e73QQitemZ300343463539QQptZMotor sQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
And painting all my moldings black (not to be confused with ChrisDPham because he has the real stuff
) Any input on this item? I know its ebay but still... i know there is some decent stuff on there and i know some of the stuff is god awful...

Just giving an option
LOL Actually, it’s not, and I’m not getting it out of anywhere. It’s an (air) dam good repro.
This might be great for JS because he’s doing tasteful mods, has nice upgraded wheels, and it’s the same color as his lower cladding. It’s bolt on ready.
But it is 2mm fiberglass not ABS as I have already said. I did a test fit before getting it painted and it fits fine. I was concerned about the 3mm fiberglass brackets they made and would prefer to use the MB mount pieces. I would have reinforced the brackets before mounting it.

hmm... never heard of that... Anyone have anything to say that?
I use armorall on my dash but as YNVDIZW124 said, I don't go too wild with it. Gotta use that stuff in moderation or it could look sloppy IMO

Doesn't the location of the tweeters affect the imaging there? To the best of my knowledge you are supposed to locate the tweeters so that they are nearly equidistant to the listeners. Hard to do when one is right in your ear just about.
By locating them in the base of the A pillar as most automakers do, the distance difference is closer than by having it right by one ear.
Also, to the best of my knowledge, you are supposed to aim the right tweeter at the left passenger and the left one at the right passenger.
