W124 Coilovers

Are there any coilovers available for our cars?

I dont know if there is a thread made like this already (im sure there is) but it seems that the W124 is a pretty popular car. Its pretty wierd that there are no coils available!

You're wrong.

Actually, They do have Coilovers for our cars - It's just a matter of you paying the amount they are and knowing someone who can get them for you overseas.

There are various Japanese tuning companies who make W124 specific coilovers and I heard that they are really good as well.

@ $2,500-4,000 from what I have seen and what I currently just saw right now thats pretty steep. lol

I do believe Koni makes coil-overs for our car. I've seen them before.

Interesting. At those prices, no wonder only 3 people here have heard of them.

Can the strut top support the weight of the vehicle over extended periods of time though?

only back springs won't fit, you'll have to keep original or look for some strong ones in skrapyard.

What? Please explain......the stock rear spring wont fit after the e36 coilovers are installed? With coilovers on, are the stock springs needed?

probably not, wich is why all the fuss over at 190rev and other sites regards fitting coil overs to benz cars.

dont bother, just fit a good set of springs and dampers, and sort out the roll bars, thats more than any one will need for road and the odd track day.

Why would you do this if you're not mostly racing? And at that point you wouldn't even use that top *fender* mount because of too much flex even with a brace...but at that point (still in racing tune) you were probably smart enough to find a tube bender and make custom LCAs, braces, etc instead of running a mucked up dual dampening? Just sayin' ...

To go lower than normal shocks can allow.

In other words....slam your car.

that's cute... so under load (car on ground), how does the length of those coilovers compare to bilstein sports? I assume you can adjust height?

Also...your weakest point now is the strut mount rubber, did you reinforce or use custom?

Any chance that m104 is from a c36

that engine is a CIS m104. the valve cover and everything give it away.

it would be wise to learn more about the car, which i have extensive pictures of. here's why those coilovers won't blow through the hood.
