Stuck Transmission mount bolt preventing Cylinder Head Removal

Ok got all that other junk out of the way that I was having trouble with.

The last thing holding on the cylinder head is the Transmission mount dipstick assembly. The 6mm hex bolt holding it in is stripped and there's no way to get it out...Tried everything

I think Im going to take a hack saw to the metal bar holding the dipstick so I can take the head out...

Anyone have any ideas?

I found that tapping/hitting the dipstick a couple of times with a rubber mallet (towards the passenger fender direction) loosened the bolt since it was sort of welded in place due to heat. don't go ape on it, but don't be too gentle also...it should come out or at least break loose .....all of these bolts go bad, and i think it is lousy design ...i replaced the bolt with a regular bolt upon reassembly...

I borrowed a grinder from work. Put it up to the bolt but it was just too cumbersome. Too risky in the event that the head might get touched.

I tried to find a Transmission dipstick holder online but no luck. I was thinking maybe hack it off and just instal another one but I want to know what it will cost...

I just hope its not one of those million dollar parts that is rarely replaced that you can only get at the dealership.

Anyone know where I could get one other than the dealership?

Just go to the dealership, it shouldn't be too expensive. Once you factor in shipping from online it usually comes out the same for small items like these. You can always call their parts department and ask how much it is so it saves you a drive down.

You have access to the EPC, right?
If not, register an account and use it to find part#'s. Then you can reference that part# online. Makes everything much better. The dealer likes you giving them part#'s too...less work for them to look the car up.

Found the part. Its number is 124 270 00 84. $116 at the dealership without MBCA Membership.

I think im going to the pick and pull to get it. Its going to be a huge pain in the *** to get it off the car because theres a second 6mm hex screw down up on top of the transmission...

What type of tradesmen could I call to get the screw out of my car?

I don't understand why you need a new filler tube when it is just the bolt that is stripped? Unless I am reading it wrong...

If it is just stripped, buy an extractor kit.

I've tried everything. I build luxury homes for a living and im pretty good at fixing things but this is going to far. I also do masonry and work with cement on a daily basis. Im not weak. I definitely applied adequate force. I tried hitting the dipstick tube and pulling it but no movement has been felt.

There's a notch in the head of the bolt now from knocking the crap out of it so much. Im losing grip on the angle that im trying to hit it from.

Ps2cho: The idea I had was hack saw the bracket in half and just get a used transmission tube assembly from the local pick and pull...

What about liquid wrench and a better pair of vise grips? I've been using WD-40...

Finally got it out. Used a $5 grinder with arbor bit I got from Lowes. Put a couple notches in it and it finally gave way then unscrewed it...
