Question E 320 Sportline option

Hello all.

I was wondering if anybody knew how many E320 Sportlines were produced by Mercedes benz for either 1994 specifically or for the entire W124 production run where sportline was an option. I have one myself and have been trying to find more inforamtion on specs like that. I was also wondering if anyone knows where i could find some origional documentation on the car, such as brocoures, booklets, commercials, ect..? Thanks.

I can't help you with the Sportline numbers but here is some information on sales in general.

Thanks to whoever found this link on whatever MB board it was.

The Sportline option was selected on "approximately ten percent" of the cars headed for the U.S. However, I have not been able to find a specific number for you.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the responses guys, yah i have been hearing more and more that it was 10%, so that would make it about 1460 for 1994. I contacted MBUSA and they said they dont have the specific numbers either, I am getting them to send me the origional window sticker though.

My dad knows the chief mechanic pretty well at our local Benz Dealer, maybe we can see if they have any sales records on the 1994 E. They are also, i believe, in the top ten for highest sales in the US or Region, so i could maybe get a percentage from them.

What does surprise me is how few E320 coupes went to the USA.
1994 825 $61,600
1995 307 $63,000

Does that mean there are just 30 1995 E320 Sportline Coupes in the whole of North America?

Now that's a car i wouldn't mind getting my hands on. And definitely something you would want to hold on to and take good care of.
