Help! My 1987 260E is now always stalling.

My car starts and runs for 2 minutes fine, then will stall. I try giving it more gas, it struggles to keep alive, but eventually when I slow down, it will stall again and again. Is this a sign of fuel pump failure?

Or is it related to my previous problem?

Thanks.

Moderators PLEASE HELP :o/

Many "stalling problem" subjects have been posted in W124 threads, please help us and point out the most common thing that causes this last classic type of Benz to irritate us

It would be nice if you mechanics out there could clear this problem once and for all.

Mine stalles ONLY when making a slow right turn and no gas injected.

Thanks in advance, TN

Yup, it was the 2x fuel pumps, I changed the fuel accumulator and fuel filter too.

One word of advise. Drain you fuel tank first! I had fuel splashed into my eyes when I tried to remove the fuel tank outlet hose and plug it up. Safety goggles are not good enough! Swim goggles with 100% seal are better.

My car is stalling again! There is a black plastic box mounted on the fuel distributor that is now leaking fuel. I think it is called the warm up regulator. Could it be the fuel pumps supplied to me were the wrong ones? i.e. Too high a pressure? I dont want to change the fuel distributor only to find the black plastic box damaged again.

Black box is the EHA. The seal is known to leak after a while.

What is EHA? Then where is the warm up regulator located?

Electro-hydraulic actuator; fuel trim servo. The "warm-up regulator" (cold start valve) is a blue and screwed into the intake manifold.

According to my Bosch K-Jetronic Technical Manual, the warm-up regulator is NOT the cold start valve.

I am aware the warm-up regulator is not the cold start valve. I used the two interchangeably for the poster's sake, in case he was using the wrong term.
