Hey, im bored with my winter rims and i hate them, since ive been painting some **** black latley, i was wondering if i should paint my rims black or not. What do u all think? it would match the windows, grill, wipers, piece on the the mirrors, tires.. haha. What do u all think? I think it would really set off the black stealth theme im kinda goin with. just a lilk something special for winter. THanks everyone

Like what Ashman said...your wheels arent the type of wheels you can paint. If you paint them black it wouldn't look good at all and you would just make them look like hub-cap wheels. I don't know man, It's your car and it's really up to you. Good Luck.

They are winter rims, I'd just leave them. But, if you want to do something with them, get those rims polished. They will look sharp. But you are looking at about 125 bucks a piece do get that done. Not worth it in my opinion, especially with winter road conditions since your rims will be dirty half the time.

im torn, i wish there was a way to see them black before i decide, maybe if someone is a photo shop wiz they would take one of my pics and black out the rims. **** im not sure yall. err the choices

Nope...doesn't look good to me. Like I said earlier...those wheels wont look good colored. I even gave you a lip. LOL

What if i paint it black but pollish that lip like u have there? A guy i work with is a master wheel pollisher. The wheels look chrome its savage. If i paint what paint should i use, and what kinda clear should i use, i wanna use spray cans. Anyone got a good idea? thanks yall

EDIT:

With that style of rim, you can't have a polished lip without it looking gay. The wheel spokes blend with the lip.

The pic did would be the best solution to painting the factory rims black.

My ultimate suggestion: Paint your monoblock replicas (17's) black and leave the lip polished, get winter tires for them, \ then buy 18's for the summmer...

haha this is funny stuff. My ****ty factory rims have sturred up some great comments. Ill paint them all black and one day ill turn my mono block II's into the winters and get some 18's. i just hate them so i figure i cant hate them anymore but maybe a little less is what im hoping. we'll see how they turn out, im not sure when ill have time to do it up tho. ill get back to everyone. it'll look ok dont worry everyone haha, peace
