How many miles do you have on your E Class?
Model: E430
Country: Northern California, USA
Mileage: 75,xxx
Comments: This is my first MB and I'm delighted with it. No issues so far - the car is in superb condition and truly drives 'like new'. Wish I'd made the switch to MB a long while ago ....
Model: E300
Country: USA
Mileage: 118k
Comments: I love this car. It cruises great and I get about 30mpg. Maintenance costs a lot, but I'm now doing most of it on my own. Just replaced the glow plugs which was the biggest pain in the neck ever.
Model: E420
Mileage: 118k
Comments: many minor things done like bulb change, and normanl things like oil change. But the buggest problem so far has been needing to get my tranmission rebuilt, and get a new steering collum, which were both done at the same time recentley, and cost a good amount.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Model: E320
Mileage: 185k
Comments: I have enjoyed this car since 98. Costs a bit more to maintain than most cars but it has been worth it to me. Hard to let it go when nothing is really wrong. My goal is to drive it to 300,000 miles.
Model: E320
Country: US
Mileage: 107.5K
Comments: Just routine maintenance, replaced halogen headlights with xenon HID projectors (thanks to ZAM), replaced stock taillights with E55 lights. Daily driver; car is super-solid and fun to drive.
Model: E430
Country: USA
Mileage: 125k
Comments: I am the 3rd owner, having bought the car in 2005 w/118k. From the service history I know that it had a harmonic balancer repaired/replaced, various bulbs, rear brakes, and one of the power windows repaired.
Since I have had it, I have had the sunroof repaired (expensive job, but I don't know what they did exactly), center console cup holder fixed (door was sticking), radio replaced (volume control was faulty). All of these were wrong with the car when I bought it. The only thing done since was to replace one oxygen sensor, and I had a B service done at 120k
Model: E55 ////AMG
Country: USA
Mileage: 121k
Comments: Runs flawlessly. Keep up with the maintenance, regular oil/fluid change and it'll go another 121k miles hopefully
model: E430
country: usa
milage: 74k
comments: car is in the shop at least 3 times a year. spend minimal 1000 on parts every year, the car has never had 0 problems at the same time, been rear ended 3 times. been side swiped once, and umm i hate the color...
Mileage: 43,XXX
Country: CA, USA
Problems: Changed transmission at 30,000 miles. minor interior problems.
Comments: everything else great machine! i like the driving feeling better than the w211
Country: Salinas, CA
Mileage: 110K
Comments: Been in the shop a few times you know regular maintence, I love the car but the only problem I have had is transmission at 70k set me back 6K 2 months after I bought the car in Dec. 2004, fan belt tensioner also.
Still am deciding if I want to buy another/new car: Infiniti G35, E500, E55, or Lexus GS430
Model: E300
Country: US
Mileage: 201,000
Comments: Bulletproof diesel-I have a 160 mile roundtrip commute everyday so the miles have added up quickly. Original motor and tranny.
I had a minor fuel leak ($2 hose replacement). Aside from that, routine oil changes every 3k miles-that's about it
2nd w210:
Year: 1999
Model: E320
Country: US
Mileage: 116,000
Comments: Some minor issues-MAF, window regulator, usual bulbs burning out, etc. Harmonic balancer was replaced by my mechanic before the recall/notice, but it was reinspected recently by MB and found to be fine. Between the two cars, I prefer the diesel any day of the week

A few electrical, MAF, brakelight switch. Original battery, etc. Going in next month for a big service; on second set of tires.
