I'm moving on up from 18's to 19's, but...

I was wondering, with an obsidian black W210, should I run the dark grey or silver AMG replica's? I'm referring to the AMG's on the SL/CL/S65 from 05-06. I'm tired of the black on chrome look. I'm looking for something a bit more low-key, and low-maintenance. I am going to get the low-dust porterfield brake pads, but I want minimal cleaning for the most part.

so

you are ready to move from a marginal ride quality to abysmal?
If you go to 19's make sure they are the best rims money can buy quality wise, you are going to need them at the first pot hole.
why not change style and keep the 18 in rim?

I don't know

how chip foose does it.Somehow he ties the cars roof line into the wheel design, that is why the classic mono bloc is always timeless
19's and those spokes would make it look like a Conestoga chuck wagon
that's just me tho

I've got the AMG style 17" wheel and had to buy another rim due to a pot hole!
I do like the look however and think the silver finish would be even better with the car!
But do yourself a favor and buy that 5th rim!

I'm not sure how much these replicas weights but TSW was 2 Lbs less then original E55 AMG monoblocks... I had TSW 19" for a year no problems at all...

The 19's that I was looking at weigh 28lbs. Not bad considering my chrome 18's weigh 35lbs and 36lbs, front and rear respectively. The 18's didn't really ride that bad at all. I know that with 19's, however, the ride will suffer a bit, but roads around here are pretty good. Besides, I always keep my tire pressure up. I've heard of too many people, including some close friends, riding 20's on Lexus bending rims due to poor tire pressure monitoring. I thought about the AMG monoblocks also, and they're in the picture as well. Here's a picture of an S65 with the wheels I'm looking at. I just fell in love with the look. I'm aiming for the attached photo.

I don't know

This style wheel looks great on the w211. I am not a big fan of them on the w210.

I don't know about you guys but I do get compliments everywhere I go It flows very well with the AMG bumpers. It might look weird if you are running on non-sport pkg.

I would say go 19'' if you are planning to do brake upgrades. With this specific design, 18'' do look small on our 210 since there's a outer lip wraps around the spokes.

Ghaffar, go with the dark grey if you want low maintenance. Your front wheels will turn black after driving for 5 miles.

I like them they look great If you get them i would go with the satin center ones. The only thing i dont like about them is like they say everyone has them.
