Help with Blacklights

Help with Blacklights
Hey just installed some blacklights into the dome lights of the car love em but 1 problem. with the cover of the light on it it turns the light blue instead of purple and the light does not work well at all. im guessing because the cover is white and not very see thru that it cant go through. is there any way i can get lenses that are idenical to the little reading light? the light goes through that really well. does anyone have any ideas other than keep the cover off that would work? also i cant take the cover off the back light i dont think haha.

The rear dome just prys off
the other lights have no clear option,you could get a set of spares and experiment with some 2000 grit wet paper and polish to try to remove the frosting but that would look as chintzy as the blue/purple led bulbs.

if you remove the frosting the lights will look funny, you'll have really bright hot spots, since the LED's don't diffuse light as much as filament bulbs. also, stock up on selsun blue, blacklights can be very unforgiving...

yea they dim but they stay very dimly lit all the time. idk why i think its jus the leds need less of a current to be on and theres always a current when the car is off? idk but ive had no battery problems or anything so far.

Yeah, i'd still be a bit worried about it being on all night though. Some places in socal the tint helps keep my belongings mine, and im afraid that light might make them visible. But good thinking on the led light though!
