newbie fog light question
when i lock my car the fog lights and the rdls stay on but, i can figure out how to drive with the fog lights on..
i saw an e320 not sure what year, but it had the rdl and the bumper fog lights on.

Always use your fog lights for fog or night rain conditions that warrant the use, they are not intended as driving lights, serve no purpose as driving lights, and do not make you look any cooler

I don't care if I look dorky and it's not just savvy MB owners who will know. It's also Volvo and BMW owners since they, too, have the familiar European standard feature.
Be safe. Use it when it warrants additional safety.

Question: does anyone use the right/left parking lights or whatever they are? Are they used much in other countries?
I'm still learning things about the car. Just the other day I found out what the sun sensor was used for. Probably here on the forum.

Back in '92 or so we were in Germany on business and driving on the Autobahn on a snowy day. Whenever we got to a place where the fog/snow had lifted and failed to turn off foglights, we were soundly "flashed" by passing motorists. This includes those that passed us in our direction and noted the rear foglight still on--lots of arm waving. (Germans don't walk across intersections until the light is green, either.)
It's just hilarious how Americans treat these things as toys.
