I hear a grinding noise
There is a grinding noise in my engine. Its not the water pump or fan. It is comming from the front of the engine on the drivers side on the top. I pin pointed it with a screw driver and listened to it. What could this be?????

Front of the engine on top is where the cam gears and timing chains are in any MB motor. Or it could be a cam/valve thinghy. Does it go away when the engine gets warm or when you rev it?

Sorry to hijack the thread but i have a buzzing sound coming from my engine right after i start it and it goes away after i rev it to about 1k rpm. Sometimes it goes away on its own after like 1-2 seconds. This only happens when the engine is warm. Do you know what might be causing this?

Hey guys, thats the air injection pump. Mine makes noise too. It runs for about 60/90 seconds then cycles off when engine is cold. Then again in about 2 or 3 minutes it cycles again for about 10 seconds. Helps to pump fresh air into the exhaust ports to keep emissions down..........

I don't care to show my car for several reasons.
1) There's nothing special about my car.
2) I'm sure that no one cares about each and every major and minor mod I do. Alert The Media! I got HID headlights!!! (sarcasm)
3) I'm sure that if people did want to see it, they wouldn't want to see it on the screen 3 inches tall and every time I had something to say in a thread.
