Talking **Koni and H&R Installed Pics Within**

Finally got the Koni adjustables(middle setting) and H&R Springs installed, feels like a different car. Much more stiff and aggressive. You will feel the road with this setup(positive for me). All comments welcome on my ride..

Looks nice! Exactly the same settings as mine. Like the look of the Monoblocks too!

I would get 19's, but the offset(for the monoblocks) doesnt work with the E class. The tint is 13% all around, if i'm not mistaken. Thanks for the positive comments guys.

Tarik, looks good. Ultra flashy with the chrome wheels. Would you please take and post or email me pictures of your wheel's clearance on the front and back, directly at the wheel, not in the dark? The reason I say so, is because i have H&R/Bilstein installed on my '99, and it's much lower than yours in the front, and could be the same, or higher in the back.

I think the difference may be the much heavier weight of the cast iron diesel engine. I think H&R may have screwed up in specifying the same *springs*for the E300 as the 320, possibly the engine weight is more in line with the 8cyls....

What number spring pads did you use? What were on it stock?

Edited for typos..

Lightman, I'm actually not sure what pads I was running. The installer did not change the pads. I will get more pics for you detailing the front and rear clearance. How low is the front clearnce for you?

What do you guys think about getting HID conversion kit? I've seen them on a few cars. Don't know if its worth 300-600 bones...
Any insight on quality "real" Xenon kits would be appreciated.

Engine weight in addition to various factory options make each car slightly different in ride-height. Spring pads vary from year to year (also dependent on options). The shocks have no control over the height of the car. They dampen the springs. Either way, your car would be at the same height.

Mach, duh . Obviously a typo on my part, which you might have picked up from the H&R part of my quote. I had mentioned that I have the H&R/Bilstein combo. The H&R is the spring portion of the suspension mod, and the part which I feel is incorrectly spec'd.

Edit - didn't see tarik's post above to the obvious mistake I made typiing and Mach made interpreting it. Sorry for the redundance...

Anyway, I have kept changing them out to the highest pad, the #5 front pad, and still can barely(if that) stick a finger between the top of the tire and body of the car...

The back has a #2 pad and looks perfect, albeit looks a little jacked up like a 80's musclecar due to the front being so low. When i had #2 pads all around, you couldn't even see the top of the front tire, the rim was even with the body......

chrome on white looks great. that would have been my colour choice if there were more E55's at the time i made my purchase. you might consider a flat badge as your next mod. cheap and easy to do.

Ya go and modify your car and then everyone wants to tell ya what ELSE you should do. Dude , the ride looks SWEET! Congrats. Doesn't always have to be a project in motion....usually is though
