Need Help..E430 Hose Connection?
Need to identify this tube (the one angled up)...is this an open-ended tube or do I need to connect it to something??? It is located at the rear of the engine coming off the back of the intake manifold on the driver's side.
I'm leisurely replacing the silicone gasket on my breather covers and replacing the breather tubes.....I see this tube hanging free as I go to replace the rear air duct....
So did I inadvertently disconnect this line, and if so, where does it connect?

Thanks
I'll look over the firewall once again but may need a picture to find the vacant hole if the white vacuum line has disappeared. I put everything back together without connecting this line and no check engine light came on!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Can't find the hole....
in the firewall insulation. Can you describe where the connection through the firewall is made? The funny part (or should I say irritating part) is that the hose is short and has limited range to fit at the back of the engine.

Thanks!! The connecting tube had fallen behind the firewall insulation so I had to do some digging to find it. I reconnected it....problem solved....case closed....and everyone can rest easier now!

Old thread but thanks guys! While reassembling my air pipe following a valve cover and breather cover job, I found the hose just dangling. I am sure I probably pulled it loose while tearing everything out.
After consulting here, I went back and sure enough there was a white nipple behind the fabric bundled wires. Still don’t know what it does but at least it is reconnected.

Hi, I come across the similar the situation. The central Vent has no air blowing after starting engine for a few minutes.Do anyone know this vacuum hose part number?
I found the vacuum is lost
Here is one end
Sorry for the photo, eye ball checking... I found a white plastic hole underneath, but the photo is hided by other hoses.
