hey all i am having big trouble trying to find out info about my e36, i want to fit a manual box dose anyone know if there was a model brought out with one, or what box from other cars are usable any info would help.

MB Forum my friend :S not Bimmer.. anyway, why you not use the E36 M3 6 speed manual (M3 98" - 99")? easy works with 700hp turbo M3's, i think works good to you too.
What you have in your E36? Active Autowerks kit? or custom?

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Look for
the 5 speed out of a w124 with the m104 from a 94-95 124 c36 trans will do also
A good friend has put a 36 and 5 speed into his 190E
be sure to get the pedal assembly. And you will need to do a bunch of mods to the ecu. You have the E36 with the 4 speed auto trans? UK car?

Auch!! my falut sorry man!! all good bro. i see some E320's (W210) & C280 (W202) with M104 & 5 speed manual, but i think 550Hp is tooooo much for this tranny! maybe it can handle the power, You can easy find a good example by some C280 i surely the bolt pattern (Flange) are exactly the same for your engine, you need pedal & some stuff but not a major job.. ohlord: i never seen the C36 with 5 speed manual, you saw some one?

I would think a 722.6 5 speed automatic would be your best bet. That can handle the power. I'm not sure what any of the MB manual trans are rated for, but I think there's a reason they don't put them in the AMG and 600 cars.

If you build up the 722.6 transmission it will easily be able to handle that kind of power. You will have to built it with tighter tolerances and get TCU upgrade on it, but it should be no problem.
There is an M104 manual tranny, but you don't want to go that route, its a pretty bad transmission as far as manuals go.
