Cant get tweeters to work. E430
Posted this in the audio section with no luck.
Im installing new speakers in my E430. Bose with no navigation. I took the old ones out and used the connedtion tool to go positive to positive and negative to negative. NO SOUND!! Ive been successful in the front and rear doors using the same technique. Ive also upgraded the head unit to a Pioneer 6200BT. Could I have the crossover in the head unit set wrong. I have NO idea how to set it. The tweeters are Infinity 1030t's and have some kind of line conditioner (I think thats it). Ive tried to install them with and without and Im getting no where. Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Upon further investigation the other tweeter thats still hooked up isnt working either. Now im stumped.

hey man....don't know why your stock tweeters are out, but test them first and see before you tackle the 1030's ... btw, the 1030's are 4 ohm not 2 ohm, right?!? that could be an issue if it's not the wiring .... check continuity from tweeter wires in door to bose amp, and amp to hu, just to make sure that's in order ... good luck!

hey... ditto Mysticblu999, the rear door speakers are 3.5" two-ways, not tweeters! ... sorry if i misinformed ya, i was considering yanking the stock bose amp/spkrs and would have replaced the 3.5's with tweeters, and then use seperate drivers from the hu or new amp .... btw, i'm using the same pioneer hu with stock bose and speakers ... no problems here .... all speakers are working fine ..... look at pic below for your harness wiring ... fyi, you don't use block C if you are using stock bose amp/spkrs ... good luck!
