Auto Dim Mirror Wiring Diagram needed.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram and/or pin out for auto dimming side mirrors? I have a 98 E430 and my car originally had auto dim mirrors but I had to replace the inner mirror housing on my car and the new mirror housing only has a 2 pin connector for the mirror instead of a 4 pin connector that was on my original mirror housing. Thank you in advance for your support.

Ok Thanks. I am not an wiring expert. Can you give me instructions how to make the conversion. My car had the auto dim feature from the factory. I change the mirror housing and the mirror connector has a 2 pin connector instead of a 4 pin connector. The wiring for the auto dim it already there. Thanks

I'm not really sure what are you trying to convert to what?

Can you post pictures, also can you reuse original wiring or is it damaged beyond repair?

I do not have pictures currently, but the new mirror housing only has a connector with 2 pins. I am trying to use my current auto dim mirrors and the have a 4 pin connector. The existing wiring is still there but just not on the mirror frame.

So basically you're trying to reuse your old mirror glass on the replacement mirror base assembly? Do you still have the wiring from your original mirror frame if you do just remove it and install on the replacement ones, it's the easiest way, you might have to unscrew the motor for that.

Yes that is correct. I do still have the wiring from the original mirror frame. So, I basically just need to cut the wires from the original mirror frame and splice them on the new mirrror frames? Where does it get the signal to auto dim?

Instead of cutting and splicing, remove the old harness and install it into the replacement mirror frame(instead of the one it came with). It's really not all that hard, you might have to remove the mirror adjustment motor though.

Ok, Thanks. Would you happen to have instructions and/or pictures how to remove the mirror adjustment motor?

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Suggestion

why if you had the old mirror cases with heated glass and the self dimming option do you not just find mirror cases with the same set up?
You are trying to retrofit heated self dimming mirrors into heated only cases.
Why reinvent the wheel?

In case you're not able to find the proper frames, to remove the adjustment motor it's literally 3-4 screws holding it onto the frame(once you have the mirror glass off), and it might not even be necessary. Take a good look before removing anything.
