Well, we got some lug bolts that worked, got them mounted, and I am now a happy boy! Not completely happy as the bolts the tire shop got weren't long enough to use the spacers on the real wheels, but they mounted up OK and it rides like a dream with P Zero Neros (P245/40ZR18). I plan to install the spacers in the near future as I think it would look better, but it's good enough for now. Thank you all for your help and input! Here's the shots, what do you think?

Thanks skj0lsvik! I really loved my W210, hated to lose it... I still have nightmares of the wreck, which I guess is good in a way because I'm paying more attention to other people when I drive (even though this accident was unavoidable and not my fault). I used to get a lot of compliments on the "Green Hornet," especially after I put the AMG knockoff wheels on it. My insurance company made me a heck of a deal on the total payoff though, about $3K more than I could have sold it for, so I hope the next owner takes good care of my ex-baby.
But, MB really made some nice improvements on the W211, especially on the interior (dash lights that don't disappear, boot for the shift lever, CD changer in dash, etc.) and it's weird, there seems to be more room inside and a ton in the trunk, even though the car itself seems smaller. I got a killer deal on it however, and even though it has 130K miles on it, with one exception it looks brand new! I had my reservations about buying a 2003 because of some of the problems I'd heard from the local Mercedes Service Manager, but I figured with that amount of miles, all of the 'bugs" should have surfaced and been taken care of.
Norway eh? All of my Dad's side of the family is of Norwegian descent and we have a bunch of relatives over there, in Telemark, living on the family farm. The family name is Sollid, but when my Great Great Great Grandfather Torgrim Ambrose Viprud Sollid came over to the States in 1888, the family (most of them at least) took the name of the farm as our surname, which was Viprud, then the immigration folks here changed it to Wiprud (you know Norwegians and their V's and W's... LOL!). We've done a significant amount of family research over here and I can honestly say that if you meet or here someone named Wiprud here in the US, I'm related to them. I've recently heard from a younger relative in Norway and she says they have family history going back to the 1500's... pretty cool! I just hope somebody can translate...

I've just been in the US actually, won a trip with my company. Drove from LA to Las Vegas and back to LA. Wonderful trip, but... A bit unused to drive straight forward for such a long time. Here's a small pic of where I'm from, not much straight roads here!

Here is my '98 E300 TD. Stock so far except tint and new head unit. Currently deciding on what direction to go with wheels (17 vs 18) for it. It is my DD that sees 25-30k a year.
